Heather, Red Feather, does a 26# weighted pull-up. Here we are, it's Friday, and we're at the end of our first week on our Fall nutrition challenge. About a quarter of us are doing the Whole Life Challenge and a quarter of us are doing the Macrostax Challenge and all of us are wondering what to do about sushi. I don't know how sushi became such a big deal in America and especially so in Montana! I lived in Japan for a year and I only ate sushi once, as a big celebratory meal for New Year's Eve. Otherwise, sushi restaurants were too expensive and there were so many other incredible Japanese dishes to try. I do love sushi though. It's not uncommon for me to stop by Safeway on my way home and pick up a spicy tuna roll. If you're counting Macros, a basic sushi roll can be a great lunch. If you're Paleo, a sashimi tray is just the ticket. I recently discovered this terrific guide to ordering sushi from Working Against Gravity (WAG.) Working Against Gravity is a nutrition counseling service that works with lots of amazing athletes and everyday CrossFitters. If you're part of the quarter of the gym who's not doing a nutrition challenge, perhaps you should look into WAG and their services. What to Order at a Sushi Restaurant |
