Noah is looking fierce and strong on the erg.
We are eagerly awaiting the birth of baby Lamb Massey. Noah continues to inspire us all as she takes on workouts, shows the power of human growth hormone and the mental toughness required for pregnancy. As Noah has been progressing naturally through her pregnancy, Coach Jon told me how he also has been steadily gaining a little weight. This did not surprise me, as it's not uncommon for men to gain weight during their partner's pregnancy. But, Coach Jon regularly works out 5-6 days per week, and he works out HARD. I thought this was an excellent example of not being able to out-exercise a diet choices. Coach Jon and Noah eat well, mostly Paleo, and lots of fresh vegetables. However, as with any pregnancy, weekend post-workout trips to Wild Crumb have become a regular thing. These weekly indulgences have slowly outpaced the caloric expenditure of Coach Jon's fire-breather workouts. Learn from Coach Jon, he'll be the first to tell you that six-pack abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym. It's fine to indulge every so often, food is an important celebration for so many of life's events. However, when a treat becomes a weekly event, it's a habit, not a treat. Today's Workout Rowing Tosh 3 rounds for time of: 250 m Row Rest 500 m Row Rest 750 m Row Each rest period equal to previous rowing interval. This is a test of your cardiovascular/respiratory endurance.
