Today we are revisiting a workout from the 2016 Row'd Royalty Competition. Our team finished strong in 15th place! We are so proud of everyone who competed. We hope more of you will join us next year! We love to row! All of us love seeing you all get better and more efficient on the erg. Today's Technique Tuesday video is with our very own Coach James. Coach James shows us the correct position at the catch. A common mistake is to dive forward and drop your chest at the catch. You want to remain tall and upright. You'll get more torque from your hips and thus a stronger drive if you sit tall and keep your shoulders engaged. Remember to keep your hips behind your shoulders. Rowing is an incredible cardiovascular exercise. We row a lot in the winter because it's safer then running. But, you can expect your feet to be hitting the pavement as soon as the ice melts.
