Jake takes a breather.
This week's whole life challenge is to take a breather. Literally. Three times during your work day, push yourself away from whatever you’re doing, close your eyes, take 5 deep, slow breaths… and then go back to work. Taking a breather will calm your mind and refocus your attention. All too often we get caught up in what we're doing and become myopic. While this level of focus can be great for task accomplishment, it can be detrimental to your heath in other ways. Learning how to disconnect from all of your tasks and to-do's can help put you and your needs squarely in focus. Taking 5 deep breaths will reduce stress. You might find yourself sitting with better posture. You might find yourself better able to deal who whatever comes your way. Today's workout is a bit lighter and faster than how we started this week. Aim to complete this workout in less than 12 minutes. We are going for speed today, not a heavy load. The deadlifts should be unbroken. Keep the intensity high by moving quickly through each movement. Today's Workout work on your goals and goats, then, 21-15-9 reps for time of: Deadlift 225/155 lbs Overhead Walking Lunge 45/35# plate Lateral Burpee
