Sam looking strong with weight overhead. It's Mental Toughness Thursday and today I want to explore self-acceptance. Did you know that you are good enough just as you are now? Yep, you with all of your perfect imperfections are a good person with a good heart. My heart breaks every time I hear one of you bash your body. Would you speak to your daughter or best friend the way you speak to yourself? I certainly wouldn't. Yes, we all have things we'd like to be different. But, that doesn't mean we have to be so hard on ourselves now. How we speak to and about ourselves is directly related to how much we love and accept ourselves. I love you and accept you just as you are. My wish is for you to love and accept yourself for just as you are. Once you develop self love and acceptance then all of the other wants, desires, and goals are actually more achievable. This is because your motivation changes. You want to do, get, have something because of the process of attaining it, not for the end result. When you're in that head space, all of the necessary sacrifices become easier to make. It takes effort to develop self acceptance. I hope you put some training into it today. P.S. Saturday, June 24th is National Sports Bra Squad Day. I'm coaching the 9 am class.
