We are halfway through our Spring Whole Life Challenge. Everyone is starting to look vibrant and energized. It's great seeing so many smiling faces in the gym. Our lifestyle challenge this week is to spend at least 10 minutes each day in social connection. The WLC guidelines are to share a meal or a cup of coffee/tea/etc, with a friend everyday. This challenge is helping us connect with our social network in person. We often get sucked into the busyness of our lives and forget to have actual face time with our friends. Studies have suggested that the longest living folks have the strongest social and family connections. Lucky for us, our time in CrossFit and yoga classes connect us socially. In fact, our gym is one of the few places (outside of high school or college) where you connect with people outside of your "normal" social circle. We come together one hour every day to share an intense experience. It doesn't matter if our political and social ideologies are different, we still give each other encouragement and high fives at the end of the workout. Where else in your life do you connect with folks who might not share your political or social values? Have you taken advantage of our summer partnership with Breathelight Yoga? Try the 45 min lunch time vinyasa flow class today. It starts at 12:15pm. Today's Workout 10 x 100-meter sprints Rest as needed between efforts. Your score is your best and worst times. This is a CrossFit Endurance workout. Your best time is used by Beyond the Whiteboard to calculate your fitness level in the speed category.
